THE ABOVE COURSES MAINTAIN PEDIATRIC SEDATION PERMITS AND RECERTIFY SEDATION DENTISTS WITH EXPIRING PEDIATRIC SEDATION PERMITS

Description

The ADMA’s pediatric sedation recertification course analyzes pediatric anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology and applies it to sedation dentistry. The diligent monitoring required for pediatric patients is reviewed with techniques presented by an anesthesiologist with years of pediatric experience. Pediatric specific sedation protocols are applied with live case simulation. Routes of administration are thoroughly reviewed. Nasal, subcutaneous, and intra-muscular dosing recommendations are tailored to the dentist’s patient demographics. We encourage an open Q&A style of teaching to produce a safer, more confident IV sedation dentist. These courses are held to a 20 dentist maximum to ensure a quality instructor ratio.

1 Day Course 8 CE Credits

(The 1 or 2 day course options are selected upon checkout.)

The one day course introduces new pediatric sedation protocols and discusses lecture topics at an advanced level. ADMA protocols are developed with insight to sedation pharmacology and clinical data and are used in dental offices by actively practicing anesthesiologists, oral surgeons, and sedation dentists. Their use yields very effective sedation transitioning to an alert patient minutes after a case ends. This course exposes dentists to three state-of-the-art pediatric case simulations.

This sedation specific recertification course thoroughly reviews pharmacology, physiology, and introduces new pediatric sedation techniques.

Course Highlights:

  • In-depth course taught by a board certified anesthesiologist that produces confident and well prepared dentists.
  • New sedation protocols that are safe and effective.

The two day course integrates live case simulations and airway management with newly presented pediatric sedation protocols. Case simulation, instructor interaction, and hands-on exposure to advances in sedation technology create a high demand for this course. Lecture topics are discussed at an advanced level with live challenging case simulations and airway management. Upon completion of this course, we guarantee that you will have our airway management algorithm memorized. This course exposes dentists to 15 of the most common pediatric sedation emergencies using state-of-the-art simulation equipment.
