Description

The ADMA teaches IV-specific sedation CE offering one and two day courses that are designed to maintain sedation permits and recertify dentists with expired permits.  Dental board qualifiers for sedation specific CE training are met.  This is a University accredited course through the Kettering Health Residency program.  The ADMA sedation CE courses spend individual time on airway management and emergency simulation to train competent sedation dentists.
Our IV sedation recertification courses produce sedation dentists that can practice at an advanced level. Courses are typically held on a Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm. The courses thoroughly review pharmacology, physiology, and sedation techniques. The concept of balanced anesthesia is introduced. Our clients become comfortable with both traditional and balanced sedation protocols through detailed lectures and individualized instruction. Advances in patient monitoring, titration and sedation equipment are key lecture topics that strengthen the dentist’s knowledge base. We encourage an open Q&A style of teaching to produce a safer, more confident IV sedation dentist. These courses are held to a 20 dentist maximum to ensure a quality instructor ratio.  (Select a specific course for detailed description).

1 Day Course 10 CE Credits

(The 1 or 2 day course options are selected upon checkout.)

The one day course introduces new sedation protocols and discusses lecture topics at an advanced level. ADMA protocols are developed with insight to sedation pharmacology and clinical data and are used in dental offices by actively practicing anesthesiologists, oral surgeons, and sedation dentists. Their use yields very effective sedation transitioning to an alert patient minutes after a case ends. This course exposes dentists to three state-of-the-art case simulations.

2 Day Course 20 CE Credits

(The 1 or 2 day course options are selected upon checkout.)

In addition to the benefits of the one day course, the two day course integrates live case simulations and airway management with newly presented sedation protocols. Additional consultation with a board-certified anesthesiologist ensures a personalized education. Case simulation, instructor interaction, and hands-on exposure to advances in sedation technology create a high demand for this course. Dentists who take this course are introduced to cutting-edge dosing techniques such as sedation infusion and drip protocols. Upon completion, we guarantee that you will have our airway management algorithm memorized. This course exposes dentists to 15 of the most common dental sedation emergencies using state-of-the-art simulation equipment.
